I was born in the 90's, and I was in elementary school as the internet was growing in popularity. During that period, my friends and I believed we were magical. We would see auras, faeries, make psi-balls, work with chakras, cast spells, and wish on stars. Not only that, but we felt a spiritual, magical connection to nature, and an innate relationship with the Divine, and some of us (my older sister included) noticed an ability to heal.

Growing up in a time when movies like The Craft, shows like Charmed, and books like T'Witches and Sweep were common only made the connection to our Power seem all the more real. It wasn't long before we put everything together. When we began searching for answers as to why all that stuff was happening to us, why we felt the way we did, we came across educational websites about magic and the craft. That is when everything made sense, we came home, and we knew in our bones that we were witches.

Over the years, I lost contact with my witchy friends from elementary school, but I will forever be grateful that we found each other at such a young age. It is not easy to be a witch from a strict, Christian family. Interestingly enough, over the years, I came to find out that my mother has the ability to see auras, and my paternal grandfather was more than likely a Rosicrucian.

While the Craft came naturally to me, I wanted to learn more about it, naturally. My first books on the craft were purchased from the local used bookstore when I was just starting high school, though I had been lurking online for years, so I had a vague idea of the kinds of authors and books I was looking for. I picked up a book by Raven Grimassi, one by Ann Moura, and a copy of the Lesser Key of Solomon. I also got my first tarot deck from that shop. And off I went.

I've read many books since then, and while they have aided my magic and my connection to the Divine, I know magic is within as much as it is without. Sometimes, I go back to those old webpages I used to stalk as a kid, with their spinning pentacles and their pages and pages of spells and articles on magic. Well, now it's my turn to create my own magical cyber space! So here we are.
