I was always enamoured by the symbolism of tarot. I would see it in movies and read about fortune telling cards in books and think There's something more to this. In a lot of ways, my fascination with the tarot was one of the many reasons I felt driven to study the occult.

I was probably 9 or 10 years old when I found a deck of tarot cards just laying around my house. It was the Lord of the Rings tarot, and while I LOVED the artwork, the border and "card game" vibe of the pack didn't work for me (though I still have those cards to this day).

I purchased "my" first tarot deck, Tarot of a Moon Garden in around 2009. I loved the artwork, with its cards that felt so magical. At the time, they reflected my magical practice beautifully. However, I struggled to connect with the cards for readings.

It wasn't until I bought my first oracle cards, Brian Froud's Heart of Faeries Oracle (followed by his Faeries Oracle shortly after) when the world of tarot (and oracle cards) opened up. Best of all, the cards were on sale. That was about 10 years ago (it's 2020 as I'm writing this). After connecting with Froud's deck, I wanted to try finding tarot decks that I could connect to...
I've grown a decent collection of tarot and oracle cards since then. I mostly do readings for myself and my sister, sometimes my friends. Often they are spot-on, and other times they are at least interesting.

While tarot has been a way of communicating with my god and goddess, guides, and a way of getting insight and clarity on my present situations, I'm interested in reading for others. As of June, 2020, I will be doing tarot readings through e-mail. E-mail me (theavalonwitch@gmail.com) using the subject line "Free Tarot Reading" and say "Hello, I am interested in a reading! Can you tell me about ______?" or "Can I have a general reading?" or "What do I need to know?" or something along those lines.
